Clare's Law Experience Project

Content Warning: Domestic Abuse

Clare's Law which is officially called the Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme (DVDS) enables you, someone who cares about you or someone you care about, to ask if you/they are living with someone who has a history of violent offences that could put you at risk of harm. This website has a set of inclusive and accessible resources to help understand and access Clare’s Law. The resources were created with a group of Autistic and/or women with learning disabilities who are all survivors of domestic abuse. Everyone who took part in developing the resources were not aware of Clare's law before engaging with a research project looking at victim-survivor perspectives of the law and accessing DVDS.
