This study explored the experiences of autistic transgender and/or non-binary adults in accessing gender identity healthcare (GIH), using interviews with 17 participants. Thematic analysis revealed barriers at patient, provider, and system levels, including sensory sensitivities, fear of gatekeeping, limited communication options, and long waiting times. Participants emphasised the importance of listening to service users and making tailored accommodations to improve access and care quality.
