Autistic people often find job interviews challenging because differences in social communication can affect how they manage their impression. This study found that autistic candidates were viewed as less confident and socially engaging compared to non-autistic candidates. Using transcripts or more structured interviews may help reduce bias by focusing on what candidates say rather than how they act.
