£0.00

Arnold, Bruce, Weise, Mills, Trollor and Coxon (2023)

This study found that autistic adults in Australia face significantly more barriers to healthcare than non-autistic adults, with contributing factors including gender diversity, anxiety, disability, and low social support. The authors recommend creating a national action plan, improving healthcare environments, increasing autism-specific training for professionals, and involving autistic adults in policy development to better meet their healthcare needs.
